  10. New version of FlushHeaders for Yam2NN v0.87.
  11.  
  12. FlushHeaders' task is to delete all files found in the Delete folder of
  13. YAM and if it is a newsposting to look for a matching headerfile in
  14. NNTP-Headers and delete that too.
  15.  
  16. This new version of FlushHeaders now knows the format of the file
  17. Yam2NN.folders as written by Yam2NN v0.87. Even better, it produces a
  18. version of the file Yam2NN.folders that contains only the four standard
  19. YAM folders, your newsfolders AND takes care of separatorbars!

  21. To get this 'new' version rename or delete your existing Yam2NN.folders
  22. file. Then run FlushHeaders from a shell while YAM is running. Or simply
  23. start YAM if you are using the rexx script 'FlushUnusedHeaders.rexx',
  24. ** AFTER ** replacing the old FlushHeaders with this new one.

  26. Because Yam2NN v0.87 checks for changes in YAM:.folders and if found
  27. writes out a new Yam2NN.folders file, you may have to repeat the above.
  28. But it only makes sense if you have separatorbars in your YAM folderslist.

  30. Other changes are:

  32. * It frees all used memory!
  33. * It quits if an error occurs, but without any output. Use SnoopDos to
  34.   find out why.
  35. * It will look for the headerfile in all subdirectories of NNTP-Headers
  36.   if it cannot find it because the posting was a cross-posting.

  39. It is a drop-in replacement for the old FlushHeaders as found in the
  40. archive 2b_Yam2NN.lha, so copy it to your C: directory.

  43. This version was done by H. van der Ree and compiles with DICE 3.16.
  44. It requires OS3.x and a 68020 or better. It works with YAM 2.2, OS 3.1
  45. and OS 3.9.
